Tires and Wheels
For better traction, the Silverado EV Trail Boss’ tires are larger than the largest tires available on the Sierra EV (285/75R18 vs. 275/50R24).
The Silverado EV has a standard full size spare (not available on Trail Boss) so a flat doesn’t interrupt your work or a trip. A full size spare isn’t available on the Sierra EV; it requires you to depend on a temporary spare, which has mileage and speed limitations, or roadside assistance and a tow-truck.
Passenger Space
The Silverado EV has .7 inches more front hip room, .9 inches more front shoulder room, 1 inch more rear headroom, .1 inches more rear legroom and .5 inches more rear shoulder room than the Sierra EV.
Payload
The Silverado EV has a higher standard payload capacity than the Sierra EV (2350 vs. 2250 lbs.).
Servicing Ease
A maintenance reminder system is optional on the Silverado EV to save the owner time and money by calculating maintenance intervals for tire rotation, based on odometer mileage. This takes the guesswork out of keeping your vehicle in top condition and helps it last longer. GMC doesn’t offer a maintenance reminder on the Sierra EV.
Recommendations
The Chevrolet Silverado outsold the GMC Sierra by 74% during 2024.
